Is Funded Futures Network the right choice?

Funded Futures Network is one of the firms in this comparison whose own official pages contradict each other, and here the contradiction is not about a cosmetic detail but about two lines of the bill. The FAQ announces an activation fee due once the evaluation is passed; the pricing page states there is none. The same FAQ announces monthly professional data feed fees in the funded phase; the promotional page announces free Level 2 data. Nothing on the site settles either question. So this is not an opaque firm in the usual sense: it publishes an amount for everything it announces, and its transparency score reflects that. It simply publishes two incompatible answers where one is needed.

The second peculiarity is the one that answers “why does the advertised price never match what I actually pay” directly: here the gap is measurable, and it is a factor of two. The pricing page shows a discount as already applied and displays the reduced amount, but the checkout bills the full rate as long as no code has been entered. The amount used in the tables below is the checkout one, not the shop-window one — it is the only one of the two your card will ever meet.

The rest of the model is easier to follow than average. The featured plan is paid for as a monthly subscription, the drawdown is end-of-day (EOD) during the evaluation and then static once the account is funded, the split is 80/20, and a 40% consistency rule applies to both phases. A one-off-payment variant exists at the same firm, promoted far less, with a more favourable split: that is not a billing detail, it is a trade-off to make before buying.

Strengths

  • Once the account is funded the drawdown becomes static: the loss threshold stops moving altogether, and every dollar earned mechanically increases your margin for error — it is the only firm in this comparison that does so.
  • During the evaluation the drawdown is EOD, calculated on the closing balance: unrealised profit you never banked does not raise your threshold, unlike intraday trailing.
  • Every fee along the path carries a figure, activation included: the table holds no “not published” line. The reservation is not there — it is in the two contradictions between the firm's own official pages, flagged in red below, which fall precisely on activation and on the data feed fees.
  • The profit target, the maximum loss limit and the daily loss limit all three carry a figure before purchase: the thresholds that fail an evaluation are known in advance rather than discovered along the way.
  • A one-off-payment alternative exists at the same firm, with a minimum of two trading days instead of five and a 90/10 split instead of 80/20: the subscription is not the only path on offer.

Watch out for

  • The price you read and the price you pay differ by a factor of two: the pricing page presents a discount as already applied while the checkout bills the full rate with no code, which makes the headline price useless for comparison.
  • Two published and unresolved contradictions fall precisely on the two fees that arrive after the purchase — the funded account's activation and the monthly data feed fees — that is, at the point where you can no longer change your mind.
  • If those data feed fees are real, they are taken from the brokerage account balance and not from your card: they appear on no bank statement and eat directly into the capital you are supposed to grow.
  • The 40% consistency rule applies in the funded phase too, and payouts follow a fixed cap per request model: a single very good day does not speed up the first payout, it delays it for as long as it has not been diluted.
  • The current promo code has no published expiry date, and we did not confirm its validity by submitting it at checkout; it also claims to waive activation — that is, exactly the fee the firm contradicts itself on.

Who it suits

This model suits a regular trader aiming to close out an evaluation within one or two billing cycles: on a short evaluation the monthly subscription is painless, on an evaluation that drags it becomes the largest line of the bill, all the more so since the featured plan imposes a minimum of five trading days before any pass. It also suits anyone who wants risk that is simple to follow — end-of-day then static is the most predictable pairing in the comparison, and for a trader who has already been liquidated by a trailing threshold on unrealised profit, that is the real reason to look at this firm. It suits poorly the seasonal or irregular trader, who will pay for months without progressing; the one whose performance rests on two or three big sessions, which the consistency rule penalises in both phases; and the one who wants to know their full bill before paying, since on activation and on data the firm itself gives two answers. If the split weighs more than the headline price in your decision, compare the one-off-payment variant against the monthly plan before buying — it is the all-in cost calculator that settles it, not the pricing page.

What are the trading rules at Funded Futures Network?

During the evaluation the drawdown type is EOD: the threshold is recalculated once a day, on the closing balance. In practice, a position that runs up hard during the session and then falls back does not raise your loss floor — only what you carry into the close counts. Once the account is funded the drawdown becomes static: it stops following your equity entirely, in either direction. That is the exact opposite of intraday trailing, where the threshold sticks to the unrealised highs and a winning trader can be liquidated on a pullback that erases no profit actually banked. Alongside the maximum loss limit, the plan also carries a daily loss limit: these are two distinct thresholds, and it is the second that catches people out most often, because it can trigger on a day when the account is still well in profit.

The 40% consistency rule is the most structuring constraint of this plan, and it applies during the evaluation as well as after it. No single day may account for more than 40% of total profit: an exceptional day therefore does not bring you closer to the target, it moves you away from it, since you then have to accumulate further sessions to dilute it before you can pass or withdraw. A trader who makes their result on a few sessions a month has to take on board that this rule lengthens their evaluation — and on a monthly subscription, whatever lengthens the evaluation raises its price. In the funded phase the same rule combines with a fixed cap per request payout model: the first payout is as much a question of the calendar as of performance.

On billing, the featured plan is a subscription: it renews for as long as the evaluation is neither passed nor cancelled, with a minimum number of trading days to meet before any pass. The firm also offers, more discreetly, a one-off-payment mode with a shorter minimum and a 90/10 split instead of 80/20. Paying once costs more up front and less as soon as the evaluation drags on — and hands you the better share of the profits into the bargain, which is rarely the trade-off you expect. Take care too not to mix up the paths: the cheap reset is the featured plan's, while the one on the old Exhibition path is several times higher and does not apply here.

That leaves the two line items the firm has not settled, and they are the ones to sort out before you pay. Activation first: the FAQ presents it as due once the evaluation is passed, the pricing page states there is none, and the current promotion announces it is waiving it — three claims that cannot all be true together. This comparison uses the highest amount, because an underestimated bill costs the trader money while an overestimated one is only a pleasant surprise; the mechanism and its traps are set out on the activation fees page. Then the data feed fees: announced as monthly and taken from the brokerage account balance by the FAQ, announced as free by the promotional page. The treatment is the same as for activation — the $126 a month are kept in the total shown below, because neither of the two pages attaches the slightest exemption condition to them: taking them out would amount to deciding on your behalf that the promotion covers you. This is not an accusation levelled at the firm, it is a refusal to quote you a lighter bill than the one its own FAQ describes. Ask support for a written answer on both points and keep it: if the bill differs later, that is the only document that will carry any weight.
