Tradeify review: fees, rules and all-in cost

Is Tradeify the right choice?
Tradeify's bill fits on three lines, and the third is good news: the evaluation, paid for only once, the reset if you fail, and an activation at zero on the move to a funded account — a published amount, not a box left blank. Neither a running subscription nor a separately billed data feed was recorded. That is why the total shown on this page is a firm amount and not a floor carrying a “≥”, as at the firms that announce a fee without ever publishing its price.
This shape of bill changes above all your relationship with time. At a subscription firm, every week spent in evaluation is paid for, and a test that lasts twice as long costs twice as much; here a slow evaluation costs nothing extra, only the resets are added. The test takes a minute in the all-in cost calculator: raise the number of evaluation months and watch the Tradeify line stay still while the subscription lines climb.
The trade-off is not in the price, it is in the rules. The drawdown is calculated at the end of the day, during the evaluation as on the funded account: that is the predictable version, the one that does not follow unrealised profit you never banked. But the evaluation imposes a consistency rule, and the funded account runs on a payout cap rather than free flow. So you know precisely what you pay to get in and at what rate you will be able to take money out — the table below carries both.
Strengths
- The evaluation is paid for once: the time you take to pass it has no price, where a subscription plan bills every additional month.
- The funded account's activation is stated at zero on all four sizes, dated and sourced like the other lines of the pricing: it is the line item that most often opens the gap between the headline price and the real bill, and here its absence is written into the recorded pricing rather than inferred from a silence.
- The drawdown stays calculated at the end of the day after funding, where other firms in the comparison change their method of calculation once the account is obtained: it is the line discovered latest, and here it does not move.
- Every announced fee carries a public amount, no contradiction was recorded between the firm's pages, and no conditional fee — data feed, “professional” status, connecting by bot — appears in the record.
- Profit target, maximum loss limit and platforms are published size by size, and the contract limit for most sizes, which makes it possible to compare the sizes against each other instead of relying on the price alone.
Watch out for
- The evaluation imposes a 40% consistency rule: an exceptional day does not bring you closer to passing, it obliges you to keep trading in order to dilute its weight in the total profit.
- The “what you actually take home” half is bounded: the split is 90/10, the first payout requires five trading days, and every request thereafter passes under a fixed cap. An exceptional month therefore does not convert into an exceptional payout — it is the rate at which money comes out that has to be quantified, not the percentage alone.
- As long as the displayed code holds its full rate, a reset costs more than a fresh evaluation on all four sizes, and it is on the largest that the gap is widest — the “reset” line is therefore not the cheapest way to try again.
- The discount is not stable: it carries an expiry date and a rate that drops after the first five uses, which the promo code table does not show, publishing its expiry date but not its taper — reason on the base price, not on the struck-through one.
- The smallest account is by far the most constrained in position size relative to the next size up: it costs less to buy but demands many more trades to reach the same relative target.
Who it suits
This model suits the trader who knows their evaluation will take as long as it takes and who refuses to pay a subscription for that whole time: the outlay is known at the moment of purchase and does not drift afterwards. It also suits anyone who wants a predictable drawdown from end to end, calculated on closing balances rather than on unrealised highs, and anyone who prefers a two-line bill they can recompute themselves. It suits markedly less anyone counting on passing in two or three explosive sessions — the consistency rule forbids that trajectory — and anyone who wants to cash out fast and without limit: the split is 90/10 and the first payout opens after five trading days, but every request stays capped — it is that rate, more than the percentage, to look at if you intend to live off these payouts. Finally, if your plan assumes several attempts, compare the price of a reset against that of a fresh evaluation before assuming that trying again comes cheaper.
What are the trading rules at Tradeify?
The drawdown type is end-of-day — EOD — during the evaluation as on the funded account. In practice, your floor is only recalculated at the close of the session, on the balance actually recorded: a trade that rises sharply then returns to its starting point during the day does not move the threshold that liquidates you. That is the opposite of intraday trailing, which follows the highest point reached by a position you never banked and can cut an account on a gain that never existed in the bank. The continuity between the two phases is the real point to take away here: the rule you learn during the test is the one that will judge you afterwards, which is not the case everywhere.
The 40% consistency rule caps the share a single day can represent in the evaluation's total profit. Its practical consequence is badly anticipated: reaching the target in one go is not enough to pass, you then have to keep trading — and therefore keep the account exposed — until the best day falls back under the cap. It also explains why the firm does not take all the points of the site's transparency score, which rewards the absence of any rule left to interpretation. On the funded account side, the rules table shows no consistency rule at all: it is indeed the evaluation phase that carries the constraint.
On the Growth range, no daily loss limit appears in the rules on record: the maximum loss limit is the only dial. The Lightning range, funded from purchase, adds one — $1,250 to $3,000 depending on size — which is consistent with the fact that you trade on it straight away. That is often presented as freedom, and it is one, but it removes the guardrail that halts a bad session before it consumes the whole allowance. To be read immediately alongside the target: the ratio between what you have to earn and what you are allowed to lose is not constant from one size to the next, it tightens markedly on the two largest accounts. Read those two columns together rather than the price alone — it is that ratio, and not the price, that decides an account size's real difficulty.
Resets are paid for one at a time and are capped at ten a month on the sizes where the firm says so; failing therefore does not restart a subscription, it adds one isolated line to the bill. Two checks before counting on it. The price first: with the current code, buying another evaluation comes cheaper than a reset on all four sizes, and that inversion closes as soon as the code falls back to its reduced rate or expires. The duration next: our record carries no time limit for the evaluation itself, and that is exactly the assumption the one-off payment's advantage rests on. If the firm does impose a maximum period, check it on its site — it changes the entire trade-off between this model and a subscription, and it is the first point to confirm before buying.
